CALIFORNIA HORSE NEIGHBORHOODS
AND COMMUNITIES
This
website is here to make the rewarding opportunity of living in a "Horsy
Neighborhood or Horse Community"
more visible than it might otherwise be. Rather than define
"what" a Horse Neighborhood/Community is, this site
encourages all horse folks, in a
multitude of ways, to accumulate an ongoing experience of what it
would be like to live in one of these places. Designed as a gift, and an expression of joy

Many of these
horse-friendly communities have it all -- places to ride
with gently
winding scenic roads and vistas,
beautiful lake or river views, or in State, neighborhood, or
Regional Park Trail systems. Some have unique trails near raging rivers and gold-mining creeks,
and lots and lots of US
Forest and
Public trails, and
some near horse camps for only horses.
Some of the trails are easy and and others are relatively steep for
the endurance rider. Gobs of local community activities
and some with unique cottage
businesses and award-winning programs in their schools; A few are in
areas of larger ranches but most are properties of 2-5 acres
with ranch-style homes and a few are multi-million
dollar estates with
up-scale ranches
-- most all with good schools for families,
clear air and clean water for retirees, and ample recreation for outdoor types |
