Cool-Pilot
Hill Advisory
Committee
YOUR COMMUNITY VOICE
Meeting: First Thursday of every month, Northside School, 7:00 pm,
Library (unless moved elsewhere within school;
please ask for agenda)
We publish an agenda every month
by e-mail and if anyone is interested in it we can put
them on the list, just have them e-mail me,
Kathy Mortensen, mortskm@jps.net
All community members are invited to attend.
For more information, contact Larry Ring, Chair, at:
ltr@executiveres.com
and Hal Slaght, is Vice Chair.
We have what I would call an open
forum so that if someone comes with any concerns or questions
we can address them that night without any violations of the Brown Act
(which we are not under).
HISTORY
The Cool\Pilot Hill Advisory Committee was
formed in 1978 by a group of community-minded citizens in the Cool and
Pilot Hill areas to participate in the development of the Cool\ Pilot Hill
Area Plan for the El Dorado General Plan. After that Plan was completed,
the interests and purpose of the committee were broadened to include any proposed changes
that affect the area.
PURPOSE/MISSION
The purpose of the Cool\Pilot Hill
Advisory Committee is to review any changes
affecting
the people or the environment of the Cool\Pilot Hill area and act as the
voice of the community on them. Such
changes would include but not be limited to revisions
or amendments to the El Dorado General Plan, subdivisions, road changes, trail changes, changes
proposed by Special Districts such as Fire, School, Water, or
Recreation Districts, etc. as they affect the community. The
committee is to learn of all such proposed changes, inform the citizens,
get their input,
study the pros and cons, and present comments, concerns or recommendations
in the best interests of the Cool\Pilot Hill area and the Georgetown
Divide to the appropriate recommending or decision-making organizations.
